Sandy Summers

Sandy Summers is a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter from Cessnock whose rich, expressive sound blends alt-country, rock, and country ballad influences.                                                                         

A classically trained vocalist, Sandy was named Best Female Vocalist in the ACM 2026 People’s Choice Awards; Best New Australian Independent Female Country Artist at the 2025 ICMA Awards & afforded a 2026 Dusty Boots Award in recognition for contribution to Australian country music. 

Since bursting onto the scene in 2023 with her debut single “Jet Lag” from her *EP “Summer Storm”, Sandy has built an impressive catalogue releasing 10 tracks in just 3yrs. Her music has consistently charted on the Country Songs Australian Airplay Top 40 with most landing well inside the Top 10, including her best performing radio song “Too Many Sunsets” which peaked at #6.

Sandy's latest track “Like A 70s Day” (July 10) is hot on the heels of "Too Many Sunsets" with anticpation growing toward future releases and her upoming originals album. (see below) 

Sandy takes her songwriting craft seriously, developing her skills by attending SHE Songwriting Retreats & through chance meetings with other writers. Her single “If I Were A River” being the result of a collaberation with 10-time Golden Guitar winner Lyn Bowtell.

Sandy's has alway had a creative flair which also extends to music videos, working alongside Blacklist Productions and Roaming Creatives her video projects have earned multiple award nominations on the Tamworth Country Music scene.

Sandy never sits still with her music, staying deeply connected to the craft. Following the 2026 Tamworth Country Music Festival she entered an intense phase of songwriting & penned a deeply personal collection of songs. Produced by Simon Johnson, Sandy plans to build momentum with a series of single releases as she works toward her debut album “Summer Glare”.
