2024 ICMA Finalist & ‘Most Promising Future Star’ Finalist in Tamworth’s People’s Choice Awards Sandy Summers is an accredited singer-song writer from Cessnock, Australia.
Sandy never does things by halves and her energetic appearances aim to engage audiences of all ages.
A Hunter Valley division ACM Stars of Fame recipient, Sandy completed [3 levels] of classical music exams with the AMEB when she co-founded an award winning duo. Sandy then commenced her solo brand in February 2023.
Sandy has gone from strength to strength, her popularity spurred on by live performances of her Songs of Summer show & her Summer Storm shows which she kicked off on Peel St during the ‘24 TCM Festival.
Sandy recorded her EP ‘Summer Storm’ in early 2023 & released her debut single “Jet lag” along with a music video in July of that same year.
Produced by Simon Johnson, the EP features the backing vocals of Glen Harrison (Kaylens Rain) & other renowned artists including double Golden Guitar winner Liam Kennedy-Clark. Sandy says her EP contains a variety of music flavours which widens its appeal. Each track offers the listener something different with flavours of Traditional, Outlaw & Alt Country as well as Country Rock & Rockabilly.
Her debut song achieved positive chart results and in late September Sandy followed it up with a second release "Devil in her Heart".
Sandy has since released 3 other singles including "Run Today" which reached #5 in the AMRAP Regional chart (Jan 15 ‘24).
All of Sandy’s first 4 releases have made it into the Country Songs Top 40 Australian Airplay chart with “One Step At A Time” reaching #10.
Newly released “Hell of a Highway” is receiving positive feedback & has entered the Country Songs Top 40 Australian Airplay chart in position #38.
Sandys has also embarked on numerous Music Videos with Blacklist Productions , each of which can be viewed on the Sandy Summers Official YouTube Channel.
